Through the Kindness of the San Francisco Meditation Group of SRF:
On Saturday, January 18 at 7:00 p.m., we will host a talk by Paul Gorsuch, editor of the book “I Became My Heart, Stories of a Disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda: Leo Cocks”. The event will begin with a meditation from 7:00–7:45 p.m., and the talk will begin at 8:00 p.m.
Leo Cocks met Paramahansa Yogananda in 1948 and was an SRF monk for a time. The book contains stories of Leo’s experiences with Master and includes copies of letters from Master and from Sri Daya Mata. After leaving the ashram, Leo remained an SRF member and later hosted San Francisco Meditation Group meditations in his home on Joost Avenue.
Paul Gorsuch personally knew Leo for more than twenty years and he will share insights and stories about Leo and the book. Afterwards, there will be a Q&A period and light refreshments will be served.
